Organic Parmigiano Reggiano from Vacca Bianca Slow Food Presidium
The quality of Santa Rita Bio 1964 ORGANIC Parmigiano Reggiano begins in ORGANIC farms, where uncontaminated nature, a healthy environment and clean air are the fundamental ingredients for obtaining excellent forage.
Since 1992, Santa Rita Bio 1964 has been working closely with local breeders and farmers to develop a completely ORGANIC production chain.
Santa Rita Bio 1964 is today at the forefront of protecting the Vacca Bianca Modenese, a bovine breed that is at risk of extinction. Their commitment is aimed not only at biodiversity, but also at the well-being of the animal: all the cows in the supply chain are raised free to graze, in full respect of nature. Santa Rita Bio 1964 promotes and markets Parmigiano Reggiano produced exclusively with organic milk from Frisian mixed breeds and Bianca Modenese. This breed is a Slow Food presidium.
Santa Rita Bio 1964 boasts more than 60 years of experience in the sector. The close collaboration with local farms and breeders has allowed the creation, since 1994, of an entire organic production chain certified AIAB/ICEA. The constant commitment and continuous research have contributed to maintaining the highest quality standards, without losing the artisan soul that characterizes the company.
