CANTINA DE VIGILI - The Piana Rotaliana and its great Teroldego
The Piana Rotaliana is a green area halfway between Trento and Bolzano, a territory surrounded to the east and west by imposing mountains. At first sight homogeneous, in reality it presents numerous nuances: from the sunny vineyards close to the rocky walls to the soft hills overlooking the Adige river.
Anyone who has had the opportunity to travel in that area knows well the perfect fusion between culture and food and wine, to be appreciated at the slow rhythm of the river that crosses it.
Piana Rotaliana has been synonymous with great wines for centuries, among which Teroldego certainly stands out, not surprisingly one of the most appreciated reds by the great Gualtiero Marchesi.
And it is precisely in the Rotaliano field that the Cantina De Vigili is based, winemakers for generations in which the passion for wine has been jealously handed down to Francesco De Vigili, the current manager.
Respect for the territory, the care and strict selection of the native Teroldego grapes coming from the “Pasquari” area and a vinification that respects the original characteristics make their wines full of charm and great personality.
Not simply wine, but a food to tell and testify.
